Data privacy

We treat your person-related data confidentially and in accordance with the statutory data protection regulations and this data privacy statement. If you use this website, different person-related data will be collected. Person-related data is data by which you can be identified. The present data privacy statement explains which data we collect and what we use it for. It also explains how this happens and for what purpose. We point out that the data transfer on the Internet (e.g. e-mail communication) may have security gaps. It is not possible to protect data completely against access by third parties.

Moreover, we point out that person-related data provided to us expressly for contact purposes is processed electronically. This also refers to person-related data generated, for instance, via e-mail signatures or business cards.

Revocation of your consent for data processing

Many data processing operations require your explicit consent. You may at any time revoke a consent already given. An informal e-mail message to datenschutz@fis-gmbh.de will suffice. The lawfulness of the data processed prior to the revocation remains unaffected from such a revocation.

Right to transferability of data

Data Privacy Statement for Using the Website

SSL/TLS encryption 

This website uses an SSL/TLS encryption for reasons of safety and in order to protect the transfer of confidential contents, such as purchase orders or inquiries you send to us as website owners. You will recognize an encrypted connection when the address line of the browser switches from “http://” to “https://” and the lock symbol appears in your browser line. If the SSL/TLS encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by any third party in general.

Objection to commercial e-mails 

We hereby object to the use of the contact data published within the scope of our statutory legal info obligations for the transmission of advertising and information material not explicitly requested. The operators of the website expressly reserve the right to pursue legal steps in the event of unsolicited sending of advertising information, e.g. spam e-mails.

The website provider automatically collects and stores information in ‘server log’ files’ your browser transmits to us automatically. This includes:

This data is not combined with other data sources. 

2. Contact Form, Registration on this Website 

Contact form 

On our website, we provide a form that you can use to contact us at any time. The use of this contact form requires the specification of a name for a personal form of address as well as a valid e-mail address for communication so that we know who made this inquiry and that we can process it. In addition, you may voluntarily specify your phone number, which we will solely use for answering your precise inquiry. However, this is not required.

If you send us your inquiries via contact form, your specifications from the inquiry form including your contact data and your IP address will be processed according to art. 6 par. 1 p. 1 lit. b) and f) of the GDPR for the implementation of pre-contractual measures based on your inquiry or for claiming our legitimate interest, i.e. for executing our business activity.

We will store your specifications from the inquiry form including your contact data in SAP Marketing Cloud and SAP Sales Cloud commissioned by us for the purpose of processing your inquiry and for the case of follow-up questions. We have concluded agreements on order processing with SAP and fully implement the strict requirements of the German data protection authorities when using SAP Marketing Cloud and Sales Cloud. We do not disclose your data to any third party without your consent.  

Instead, you can also send us an e-mail using the e-mail address specified on our website. In this case, we will store and process your e-mail address as well as the specifications made by you within the scope of the e-mail communication according to art. 6 par. 1 p. 1 lit. b) and f) of the GDPR for the processing of your message.

The inquiries as well as the associated data will be deleted not later than six months after receipt unless they are required for further contractual relationships.

Registration on this website 

You can register on our website to use additional website functions. We shall use the correspondingly entered data only for the purpose of using the respective offer or service for which you have registered. The mandatory details requested during registration need to be fully specified. Otherwise, we will reject the registration. 

In case of important changes (e.g. scope of services offered) or required technical changes, we use the e-mail address specified during registration to inform you via e-mail. 

The data entered during registration is processed on the basis of your consent (art. 6, para. 1 lit. a of the GDPR). You may revoke at any time a consent already given through an informal e-mail message to datenschutz@fis-gmbh.de. The lawfulness of the data already processed remains unaffected from such a revocation. 

The data entered during registration is stored by us as long as you are registered on our website. Afterwards, it will be deleted. Mandatory retention periods remain unaffected. If we pass on data to any third party, this will be effected in conformity with the statutory regulations.

3. Social Media

Content sharing via plug-ins (Facebook, LinkedIn, Xing, Youtube & Co.) 

The contents on our website can be shared in social networks, such as Facebook, LinkediIn, Xing, Youtube & Co., in compliance with data protection.

If the user is registered on such a social network and pushes a social button, i.e. Facebook, LinkedIn, Youtoube & Co., an information window will appear where the user can confirm the text prior to sending. 

Our users can share the contents of this website in social networks in compliance with data protection without complete surf profiles being created by the operators of the networks.

Facebook plug-ins (Like & Share button)

Our website integrates plug-ins of the Facebook social network. Its provider is Facebook Inc., 1 Hacker Way, Menlo Park, California 94025, USA. The Facebook plug-ins can be identified by the Facebook logo or the “Like” button (“I like it”) on our website. If you visit our website, the plug-in will establish a direct connection between your browser and the Facebook server. In this way, Facebook gets the information that you have visited our website using your IP address. As a result, Facebook can assign your visit to our website to your user account. We would like to point out that we, as the website provider, do not obtain knowledge of the contents of the data transferred or its use by Facebook. Whenever you call one of our websites containing LinkedIn functions, a connection to LinkedIn servers will be established. LinkedIn will be informed that you have visited our website using your IP address. If you click the LinkedIn “Recommend” button and are logged on to your LinkedIn account, LinkedIn can assign your visit to our website to you and your user account. We would like to point out that we, as the website provider, do not obtain knowledge of the contents of the data transferred or its use by LinkedIn.

Our website uses functions of the Xing network. Its provider is XING AG, Dammtorstraße 29-32, 20354 Hamburg, Germany. 

Whenever you call one of our websites containing Xing functions, a connection to Xing servers will be established. To our knowledge, person-related data is not stored. Notably IP addresses are not stored or user behavior evaluated.

YouTube 

Our website uses plug-ins of the YouTube website operated by Google. The website operator is YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA. 

If you visit one of our websites containing a YouTube plug-in, a connection with the YouTube servers will be established. The YouTube server is informed about our websites you have visited. 

If you have logged on to your YouTube account, YouTube will be enabled to directly assign your surf behavior to your personal profile. You can avoid this by logging off from your YouTube account. 

YouTube is used in the interest of a visually attractive display of our online services. This is a justified interest within the meaning of art. 6, para. 1 lit. f of the GDPR.

4. Analysis Tools and Advertising

On our website, we use the analysis and tracking tools listed hereinafter. They are used to ensure the continuous optimization of our website and structure it as needed.

We use these tools on the basis of consent granted by you in accordance with art. 6 par. 1 p. 1 lit. a GDPR. You can revoke your consent at any time by changing the Cookie settings. Processing until revocation shall remain lawful.

For the respective data processing purposes and data categories, please refer to the corresponding tools. We point out that we have no influence on whether and to what extent service providers carry out further data processing.

Google Analytics

This website uses functions of the Google Analytics Web analysis service. Its provider is Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. 

Google Analytics uses “cookies”. Cookies are text files stored on your computer enabling an analysis of how you use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. 

Google Analytics cookies are stored on the basis of art. 6, para. 1 lit f of the GDPR. The website operator has a justified interest in analyzing the user behavior to optimize their Web services and advertisement.

IP anonymization (Universal Analytics)

On this website, we have activated the IP anonymization function. As a result, Google will shorten your IP address for Member States of the European Union as well as for other parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area prior to sending it to the USA. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the U.S. and shortened there. On behalf of the website provider, Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activities and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage to the website provider. Your IP address transmitted by Google Analytics via your browser will not be combined with any other data held by Google.

IP anonymization (GA4 – Google Analytics 4)

Your IP address is automatically anonymized by Google before it is recorded via EU domains and servers. Therefore, your IP address will not be logged or stored.

Order data processing 

We have concluded an agreement on order data processing with Google and fully implement the strict requirements of the German data protection authorities concerning the use of Google Analytics.

Demographic characteristics of Google Analytics 

This website uses the “Demographic characteristics” function of Google Analytics. It can be used to create reports containing statements concerning age, sex and interests of the website visitors. This data originates from interest-based ads by Google as well as from visitor data of third-party providers. This data cannot be assigned to a specific person. You can at any time deactivate this function via the display settings in your Google account or generally prohibit the collection of your data by Google Analytics as specified under “Objection to data collection”.

Google AdWords and Google Conversion Tracking

This website uses Google AdWords. AdWords is an online advertising program by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, United States (“Google”). 

We use “conversion tracking” as part of Google AdWords. If you click an ad placed by Google, a cookie will be set for conversion tracking. Cookies are small text files the Internet browser stores on the computer of the user. The validity of these cookies expires after 30 days. They are not used for personal identification of the user. If the user visits specific sub-sites of this website and the cookie has not yet expired, Google and we can see that the user has clicked the ad and been taken to this sub-site.

Every Google AdWords customer obtains a separate cookie. The cookies cannot be tracked via the websites of AdWords customers. The information obtained via conversion cookies is used to create conversion statistics for AdWords customers that decided to use conversion tracking. The customers learn the total number of the users who clicked your ad and were taken to a website containing a conversion tracking tag. However, you will not obtain any information for personal user identification. Analysis via WiredMinds

Our website uses the tracking pixels technology of WiredMinds GmbH (www.wiredminds.de) for analyzing the visitor behavior.

Here, the IP address of a visitor is processed, but exclusively for the purpose of collecting company-relevant information, such as the company name. IP addresses of natural persons are excluded from further use (whitelist procedure). Under no circumstances will the IP address be saved in LeadLab.

When processing data, it is our special interest to respect the data protection rights of natural persons. Our interest is based on art. 6 section 1 lit. (f) GDPR. The data we collect does not allow any conclusion to be drawn about an identifiable person at any time.

WiredMinds GmbH uses this information to create anonymous user profiles relating to the visit behavior on our website. The data collected will not be used to personally identify the visitor to our website.

Hotjar

Our website uses the Hotjar analysis software by Hotjar Ltd. (Hotjar Ltd, Level 2, St Julians Business Centre,3, Elia Zammit Street, St Julians STJ 1000, Malta, Europa). This software enables us to analyze the user behavior of our website visitors as the clicks, mouse movements and similar behavior patterns on our website are measured and evaluated. This software aims at showing options for improving our website.

Hotjar uses cookies that are stored on your terminal to enable the analysis of how you use the website. IP addresses are only stored and further processed anonymously in order to avoid direct reference to individuals. Moreover, any information on operating system, browser, inbound and outbound links, geographic origin as well as resolution and type of device will be evaluated for statistical purposes. This information is not person-related and shall not be transferred to third parties by us or Hotjar.

Podigee Podcast Hosting

We use the Podigee podcast hosting service provided by Podigee GmbH, Schlesische Straße 20, 10997 Berlin, Deutschland. The podcasts are loaded or transferred by Podigee.

The use is based on our legitimate interests, i.e. interest in a secure and efficient provision, analysis and optimization of our podcast offer acc. to art. 6, para. 1 lit. f of the GDPR.

Podigee processes IP addresses and device information to enable podcast downloads/replays and determine statistical data, such as call-off figures. This data is anonymized or pseudonymized prior to its storage in the Podigee database unless it is required for the provision of the podcasts.

Hubspot

We are working with the Hubspot CRM software by HubSpot Inc. (25 First Street, 2nd Floor, Cambridge, MA 02141, USA) that we can use to manage our customer data and undertake online marketing. For this purpose, landing pages are analyzed and reports created for instance. In doing so, “web beacons” and cookies are used. In this connection, the following person-related data can be processed: 

  • IP address,  
  • geographic location,  
  • browser type,  
  • duration of the visit,  
  • pages called,  
  • sources of visitors by using Utm parameters. 

Usually, the IP address is processed by HubSpot on European servers and, in doing so, only saved in a shortened version. Only in exceptional cases will the IP address be transmitted to a HubSpot server in the U.S. and shortened there. We use the information entered to constantly optimize and improve our Web page and to design it in a more user-friendly way for you. Furthermore, we analyze by means of this information which services provided by our company are interesting for customers, users and newsletter subscribers in order to contact them for advertising purposes. We have concluded a contract containing standard contractual clauses with HubSpot. HubSpot will not acquire any right to pass on your data. Objection link (Opt-Out)

reCAPTCHA

On our websites, we use the reCAPTCHA service of the Google enterprise (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) for our contact form to enable a distinction of entries made by a person or carried out by automated and abusive machine processing. We have a legitimate interest in protecting our web offers from abusive and automated spying and spam.

During the query carried out by the reCAPTCHA service, your IP address as well as further data that might be required by Google for the reCAPTCHA service will be forwarded to Google and further processed there.

If you use reCAPTCHA, you have to accept the Google Terms of Service. For this purpose, a separate field is available. We have activated IP anonymization on this website to ensure that your IP address will be shortened by Google in advance within member states of the European Union or in other parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the U.S. and shortened there.

Google will use this information on our account to evaluate your use of this service. Your IP address transmitted by reCaptcha via your browser will not be combined with any other data held by Google. For this data, the differing privacy policy of the Google enterprise will apply. Google Fonts

We use Google Fonts on our websites, which enables the display of fonts. Google Fonts is a service of Google (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). These Web Fonts are integrated by means of a server call, i.e. usually a Google server in the U.S. Hereby, the following information might be transmitted to the server and stored by Google:

  • name and version of the browser used
  • website where the request was triggered from (referrer URL)
  • operating system of your computer
  • screen resolution of your computer
  • IP address of the requesting computer
  • language settings of the browser or of the operating system applied by the user

Newsletter data

If you wish to receive the newsletter offered on the website, we need your e-mail address or a postal address (if you order the print newsletter) as well as information that allow us to check whether you are the owner of the e-mail address specified and agree to receive the newsletter.

The data entered in the newsletter application form is exclusively processed on the basis of your consent (art. 6, para. 1 lit a of the GDPR). You may at any time revoke the given consent concerning the storage of data and e-mail address as well as their use for sending the newsletter by clicking the “Unsubscribe” link in the newsletter. The lawfulness of the data already processed remains unaffected from such a revocation. 

Your data stored by us for the purpose of newsletter subscription remains with us until you unsubscribe from the newsletter. Once you have unsubscribed from the newsletter, the data will be deleted. Data stored by us for any other purpose remain unaffected from this. If we pass on data to any third party, this will be effected in conformity with the statutory regulations.
