Koenig & Bauer AG, oldest and – at the same time – second largest manufacturer of printing machines in the world, maps its Personnel Development processes in the cloud. The company, headquartered in Würzburg, entrusted FIS Informationssysteme und Consulting GmbH with the development of an interface solution between SAP ERP HCM and SAP SuccessFactors.
As of late, Koenig & Bauer uses the SAP SuccessFactors modules Recruiting and Learning Management for administrating its Personnel Development processes. The FIS experts had the task to replicate more than 1,000 data records from SAP ERP HCM into the cloud.
In the course of the interface development for HR master data, Customizing also had to be adjusted to the solution. Specific developments differing from the standard integration were required to implement the interface according to the customer’s needs. In addition to the basic integration settings, it was important to fill the fields in SAP SuccessFactors with the HR data master fields of the SAP ERP system. In this case, FIS proceeded according to the standard method prescribed by SAP and implemented specific business ad-ins (BAdIs) in addition.
Numerous enterprises gradually transferring their SAP-based HCM processes to the cloud start with the SuccessFactors Talent Management Suite and therefore require an interface from the on-premise system to obtain the necessary HR master data.
