In December 2020, FIS Informationssysteme und Consulting GmbH (FIS) had already donated 15,000 Euros to UNICEF, the United Nations Children’s Fund. This gave rise to the idea of also involving the employees in the fundraising campaign and collecting money for the good cause. Within six weeks, another € 12,550 were collected.
With the pandemic COVID-19 outbreak, the living conditions for many children have considerably deteriorated, particularly in developing countries and refugee camps. The donation to UNICEF helps provide children with hygiene kits consisting of hand soap, disposable gloves and water buckets – an important basis for elementary hygiene.
“We are delighted about the great willingness of our employees to donate and are sure that the donation will be in very good hands with UNICEF,” Christian Lang, member of the FIS management board, is pleased to say.
