Gradually, the use of eInvoicing procedures for invoice dispatch is prescribed by law in more and more European states. Since July 2018, this is also the case in Hungary. Here, enterprises have to register on a central platform of the financial authorities. Via Web service, they send their outgoing invoices there, where they are checked for tax conformity. After validation, the invoice can be transferred to the actual recipient. Häfele, an internationally leading enterprise for furniture and construction fittings and a FIS customer for several years, implements this legal requirement in Hungary with the FIS/xee integration tool.
Häfele uses the FIS product for its entire eInvoicing process. This includes the generation of XML invoices from an IDoc as well as their dispatch via Web service. In this connection, the comprehensive signature and hashing process for a safe data exchange is implemented as well by using the FIS software. Equally, the subsequent retrieval of the validation status from the platform is executed by FIS/xee.
FIS customer Sto SE & Co KGaA, an internationally significant manufacturer of products and systems for building coatings, uses the SAP AIF monitor for generating XML invoices. For communicating with the authorities, including the status confirmation to the AIF monitor, Sto SE & Co KGaA uses FIS/xee as well.
On 1 January 2019, Italy will also implement an eInvoicing process. For this purpose, FIS has already been implementing first customer projects at Häfele and Sto SE & Co KGaA for instance. In Italy, the process is even more complex as the dispatch of invoices to the recipients is handled via the platform of the tax authorities and also incoming invoices need to be consid-ered accordingly.
