Last Friday, Ralf Bernhardt, Managing Director of FIS Informationssysteme und Consulting GmbH (FIS), announced that the company was going to pay every employee a Corona bonus of up to € 1,400, which is exempt from employment tax and social security charge. By paying this Corona bonus, the management board would like to thank its staff for their great commitment during the crisis. The Corona bonus will be paid to more than 550 employees, among them also marginally employed persons and participants of the vocational training programs. The company will pay a total of over € 615,000 to its staff. “2020 was a challenging year and yet we were able to impress many customers with our digital solutions. Our employees played an important role in ensuring this success and have produced peak performances in their (home) offices. Therefore, the decision to alleviate the additional burdens of this crisis by paying a Corona bonus was not a difficult one,” says Ralf Bernhardt.
Not only did the employees receive the Corona bonus last week, they also received Christmas presents: Traditionally, every FIS employee gets a Christmas tree and instead of celebrating the annual Christmas party, another surprise gift was sent to their homes.
