As a medium-sized company, FIS has shown particularly strong growth during the last few years and has been able to increase its sales and the number of employees at an above-average rate. Therefore, the company is one of the winning 50 medium-sized companies which received the “Bayerns Best 50” prize awarded by the Bavarian State Ministry of Economy, Regional Development and Energy at Schloss Schleißheim on July 22.
With this “Bayerns Best 50” award, the Land of Bavaria each year honors medium-sized companies that identify new opportunities for growth and employment and make consistent use of them. This year, PSP Peters Schönberger GmbH (chartered accountants and tax consultants) was responsible for the independent and neutral selection of the companies according to objective criteria.
“In Bavaria, most of the young people are trained in medium-sized companies. 80 % of all trainees are qualified in medium-sized companies and 75 % of all employees work in medium-sized companies. The message is clear: We are glad to have these medium-sized companies here,” says Hubert Aiwanger, Bavarian State Minister for Economy, Regional Development and Energy, who handed over the award in a festive atmosphere.
One reason of the positive above-average business development of FIS Informationssysteme und Consulting GmbH is its commitment in promoting young talents. FIS is the best address for people who are interested in digital trends and are looking for a job at a renowned regional employer in the IT industry: Young talents can complete their vocational training or dual study program at one of the leading SAP providers in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. This year for the first time, FIS offers university graduates a specifically developed six-month trainee program as an SAP consultant. FIS, an IT company in Lower Franconia, cordially welcomes direct entrants as well. “The training and promotion of young talents is an important pillar of our corporate success since our well-trained skilled employees are the heart of our service providing company,” explains Christian Lang, management board member.
But FIS is not only among the winners due to its hard key figures concerning employees and sales growth. The company also emphasizes social responsibility and has already been certified twice by EcoVadis, a renowned auditing company, for the compliance with corporate social responsibility standards. The overall audit assessment achieved by FIS is above the industry average.
