FIS offers trendsetting expert knowledge on the path to digitization as well as unique networking to more than 200 participants.

On June 12, Vogel Convention Center based in Würzburg opened its doors for FIS INSITE 2024, the biggest customer event focusing on digitization, innovations and networking. Under the motto “Change happens – your roadmap in the SAP network”, the event attracted a large number of participants who were looking forward to exciting keynotes, intensive networking and exclusive insights into the latest developments and trends. FIS set impulses for the future of the SAP-based business solutions.

Keynotes on current topics and trends

The event was opened by Ralf Bernhardt, Chairman of the FIS Management Board. Susanne Nickel, speaker, author and management consultant, held an inspiring opening keynote titled “On the way to New Work”. She emphasized the importance of agility and innovation in the modern working world and showed how companies can get ready for changes in the labor market.

Deniz Aytekin, referee, speaker and entrepreneur, finished the first day of the event with his keynote titled “Managing, deciding, remaining humane”. Aytekin underlined the importance of human values and decision making in leading positions and gave exclusive insights into his experiences as a referee and entrepreneur.

Practice-oriented insights and discussions

The second day started with the keynote of Dr. Kai Hudetz, Managing Director of IFH Köln GmbH, on the subject of “B2B trade of the future – digital, smart, customer-centered?”. Hudetz discussed the future developments in the B2B trade and how companies can benefit from digitization.

This discussion was followed by interesting customer presentations that gave a deep insight into the implementation of our projects: from the practice for the practice. They were particularly well attended as the authenticity of customer experiences was a valuable enrichment for the program.

The panel discussion titled “Economic dynamics and sustainable development – perspectives for German wholesalers” and moderated by Frank Weber (Head of Account Management at FIS) highlighted current challenges and chances for German wholesalers.

Closure and outlook

Finally, Prof. Dr. Ute Schmid, Head of Cognitive Systems Group at Otto-Friedrich-Universität Bamberg, lectured on “From deep learning to generative AI – How can AI be made trustworthy?”. She emphasized the necessity of transparency and ethics in the development and application of AI technologies.

FIS INSITE 2024 was received extremely positively by the participants as a unique platform with the character of a trade fair offering possibilities to exchange knowledge and experiences. Dirk Schneider, Managing Director at FIS, was enthusiastic about the great interest and feedback of the participants: “The positive response and the commitment of our participants was overwhelming. The possibility of on-site discussions with the FIS professionals proved to be very efficient for the visitors. At the same time, enough time was provided for networking among each other. We are looking forward to the next event and further inspiring discussions.”
