Re-In Retail International GmbH Connects SAP with E-Commerce Platforms

12/12/2019
With FIS/TradeFlex, the enterprise integrates online marketplaces into its SAP system; at the beginning, Fnac in France was connected.

The FIS/TradeFlex cloud solution enables enterprises to centrally manage and automate their entire sales process – from product listing, order-to-cash up to back processing – in one application. As one of the first FIS customers, Re-In Retail International GmbH from Nuremberg now uses the solution.

Re-In Retail International is a trading company selling articles via different online shops and marketplaces. So far, the marketplaces had been connected to the internal SAP system via a separate solution. By connecting the French marketplace Fnac, Retail International now relies on the use of the FIS/TradeFlex standard solution.

FIS/TradeFlex integrates Fnac consistently into Re-In Retail International’s SAP system and enables the enterprise to completely use the potentials of advanced e-commerce. The FIS solution is based on SAP Cloud Platform; the API interfaces of B2C and B2B platforms are integrated without individual development efforts.

With FIS/TradeFlex, Re-In Retail International is able to list product and supply information on Fnac, get orders created there and forward them to the SAP system. A transmission of fulfillment and billing up to payment transactions with automated assignment of open items is possible, as is the synchronization of reversal transactions and the returns and refund processing. FIS/TradeFlex enables the automatic and digital execution of all these processes, completely integrated in SAP.

Even payment receipts can be easily retraced as the revenues are automatically assigned to the associated purchase orders and open items cleared. As a consequence, the enterprise always keeps an overview of its activities on the marketplaces. The apps delivered by FIS and available via the Fiori Launchpad, which have been accepted very positively by Re-In Retail International, also contribute to this. Currently, the trading company is successively increasing the number of offers transferred to Fnac; by mid-November, this number already amounted to 45,000.
