The SAP-based FIS/LastMile app with the tracking monitor as optional enhancement provides you with convenient functions to get permanent transparency of the last mile. Your carrier can directly enter – online or offline – the goods delivery at the customer’s site using mobile devices and document additional information, such as the condition of the goods upon outbound delivery.
The carrier enters the digital signature of the goods recipient by using a mobile device and documents the transfer or the storage location via photos that are automatically stored in the ERP system as attachments relative to the outbound delivery. Among the benefits for the driver is the option of starting a navigation app where the goods recipients are stored in the requested order and with the corresponding stops.
Your MRP controller can track the current location of your vehicle and, at any time, provide information about when the goods will be delivered as the information message on delays is also integrated in the app. The driver has the option of informing the goods recipients still to be supplied about a delay. By means of the GPS coordinates, the app determines the distance to the place of destination and informs the recipient via e-mail within a defined radius. This ensures permanent transparency of the last mile.
Your benefits when using the FIS/LastMile app
- Paperless documentation of goods delivery
- Online communication with the SAP system
- Ensured processing of outbound delivery even without Internet
- High-performance basis due to the SAP technology
- Ergonomic and responsive dialogs (SAPUI5)
- Individual enhancement possibilities
- Reduction of mobile devices by integrating further apps, e.g. navigation app or WhatsApp Messenger
Scope of the FIS/LastMile app
On the one hand, this results in improved liquidity due to faster invoice processing times. On the other hand, companies benefit from higher data quality and reduced error rates since data and documents are immediately available in the SAP system and no longer have to be entered manually.
The optional tracking monitor for customers ensures transparency as to the current location of the goods. The customer is informed via geo-fencing whenever the delivery vehicle is within a specific radius from the place of delivery and the goods are expected to be delivered soon. Both the carrier and the customer benefit from improved plannability since goods receipt and truck unloading are better organized and can therefore be executed more quickly.
Thanks to the seamless integration of the app into existing system landscapes, the creation of interfaces requiring intensive maintenance is no longer necessary. The driver can integrate further apps into FIS/LastMile, such as a navigation app for ideal routing or WhatsApp Messenger to directly inform the customer about delivery delays.
