AUDI AG SUCCESS STORY OF A CUSTOMER PROJECT
Within the scope of “Strategy 2025”, Audi AG aims at an internationally consistent and efficient process digitization. For implementation, a cross-company platform for connected group accounting is to be developed that includes advanced technologies and convinces by high usability.
With FIS/edc, incoming invoices are automatically entered, read and forwarded to a controlled, transparent release workflow in SAP. This is the necessary prerequisite to structure digitization really consistently and, in doing so, implement one of the three cornerstones of the “Audi Strategy 2025”, i.e. to digitize processes and create a platform for integrated, interlinked premium mobility and digital services.

Location-independent release workflow FIS/edc
“Digitization and automation in the invoice verification process means that our employees will be unbound by location and time in the future”, says Rainer Maas. The fact that today everybody is able to view and sign invoices irrespective of their location is part of the new usability concept. For this purpose, a mobile app was developed in close cooperation with Audi IT which, however, does not use the widespread SAP Fiori technology, but is a pure in-house development. For this app, FIS developed an interface that applies SAP data to the app in real time. Installed on a smartphone or tablet computer, it can be used to intuitively edit invoices, but also IT user applications or travel expenses via swipe with only a few clicks.
